I know, it’s been way too long.
I took some much needed time off over the last couple of months.
When I mean I was off, I was off.
I wasn’t doing shit.
I got to a point where I was working hard, balancing multiple projects, and Erika finally said enough is enough. She told me to just be a dad for the next couple of months, and help here with a couple online things, and we’d be good.
Wanna know something crazy…?
We had our biggest months ever.
You see, I can’t stand staying still.
I can’t stand just kicking it, relaxing, doing nothing.
It makes me feel weird, gives me crazy anxiety, and overall just makes me feel like a lump of shit.
But, I took her advice, and did something i loathe.
And, guess what…
It allowed me to do what I love.
Which is now, working on launching a new podcast (different from Free From 9 to 5) that focuses on sports and pop culture.
It’s honestly the first time in my life I can say I’m doing something I actually love doing.
Don’t get me wrong, direct sales, blogging, podcasts, all that is gravy.
But I never woke up feeling like I could get down on one knee and propose to my life, if that makes sense.
Now, I feel well rested, rejuvenated, and beyond stoked to get this thing going.
I’ll of course continue to grow this site, and even get around to launching this podcast as well, but this will all be on top of my passion project.
The reason I’m really trying to hammer this is because I know there’s plenty of you who are beyond fucking tired of your current business, job, or life in general. But, don’t give up.
Sometimes it takes doing stuff we loathe, so that we can get around to doing what we love. Especially when what you might love, takes money to fund.
Thinking about launching your passion project? Do you want to free yourself from your 9 to 5? I get all that. But, you might have to do what I did and utilize your job, save up, and fund the project that’ll allow you to live your life on your terms.
I’ve done things I hate multiple times to get myself here.
But, I can tell you with 1,000% certainty, I’m in the best place financially, mentally, and any other category you can think of, all because I sacrificed a little bit.
You won’t be able to just come out of the womb, and start your passion project. Life doesn’t work that way.
But, if you can stomach sacrificing a little bit right now, it can be roses down the road.
Hopefully this helped in some way, shape, or form. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them below!
